When a survivor leaves a life of exploitation, she faces a long and difficult journey of healing. During her time in trafficking, she had little to no freedom, and her future seemed hopeless.
When women finally escape "the life" of sex slavery, there is an unfamiliar world they must navigate. They are now responsible for themselves and the path they forge ahead. This can be an overwhelming transition.
To some survivors, the known life of chaos sometimes feels safer than the new journey. Due to fear of the future, little hope, and a lack of life skills and career opportunities, some survivors will sadly return to the familiar world of trafficking.
That is why we offer and specialize in their Journey of Hope.
At Fields of Hope, we walk alongside each survivor on their healing journey, so that they can find true freedom and hope for their future.
Participants engage in a curriculum designed to develop essential life and job skills. Each survivor is empowered to forge a path for their life that is unique to them and their interests and abilities. Mentors and coaches help survivors understand budgeting, participate in internships, and open savings and checking accounts.
Participants learn how to create custom merchandise such as candles, soaps, lotions, artwork and jewelry. The sale of these handmade products provide payment to participants for their internships. This unique experience prepares survivors for a successful transition to independent living and meaningful employment.
We support these young women along every step of their journey so they can break free from the cycle of exploitation and venture on a path of HOPE. On the journey, they learn that they are resilient, capable, and worthy of a life of freedom and hope.
In addition to our online store, we are blessed to partner with boutiques, businesses and churches who are passionate about empowering survivors.
